An image is...

A three-dimensional world being compressed into a two-dimensional image.

A visual representation of the world.

A way to trap time and capture moments in a new way.

- Correlates to a specific time in the past.

- Moments we capture can be unexpected, meaning we may find something in an image that we didn't intend to capture.

Physical image vs. mental image.

A creative way to communicate with others.

- Physical image --> an image that exists in the world.

- Mental image --> an image that only exists in one's mind.

A visual representation of the world.

- Forming a mental image in your mind.

- Creating art that is based on your imagination.

Representation or distortion of reality.

- Even though you can't fully capture reality, people still aim to try to capture reality in an image.

My experience listening to the music shown in class...

1st music:

How did the music make me feel?

Where did the music take me?

It took me a mysterious cave.

Also felt like I was in outer space.

Made me think of ghosts or mythical creatures.

2nd music:

It took me to the arcade.

Felt like it was the type of music I'd hear in the background while playing a game.

3rd music:

It took me to a tropical dance party.

Also felt like I was walking around nature and exploring the beautiful flowers.

4th music:

It took me to a warm coffee shop while it's raining outside.

Type of music I would listen to while doing homework or studying.
